Jon is the Head of Regulatory Affairs at Bord Gáis Energy, where he leads the company’s regulatory strategy and engagement across Ireland’s gas and electricity markets. With over 15 years of experience in energy policy and technology, Jon brings deep expertise across conventional generation, combined heat and power (CHP), renewables, demand response, and energy retail. Since 2019, Jon has worked in the Irish energy market, previously leading VIOTAS’ Irish operations. There, he oversaw a 200 MW demand response portfolio and drove regulatory-commercial optimisation across capacity, DS3, and energy markets. He also served as Chair of the Demand Response Association of Ireland, championing demand-side flexibility in national energy policy. Jon’s insights into market design and the commercial realities of the energy transition are informed by international experience in Australia, Germany, Brazil, and Great Britain.
